There are many reasons as to why WWI even started. There was when Austria-Hungary trying to imperialize Serbia. There was also the assassination of Archduke Franzs Ferdinand. Many European countries joined the war. Russia had to help their brother like country Serbia. The countries involved were Serbia, Austria-Hungary, Russia, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Turkey, and America. All those countries had to join to help each other out because of the Triple Entete and the Central Powers. Britain, France, and Russia were on the allies. Germany, Austria-Hungary, Ottoman Empire, and Bulgaria were on the central powers.

TechnologyThere was a lot of new technology in WWI. There was the involvement of tanks and machine guns. There was also chemical warfare. It was very difficult for both teams to become successful because they couldn't get past "no mans land". "No mans land" was a part of the battlefield that you couldn't get past because, with the help of the machine guns, everyone who stepped foot on the land died.

America's EntryThe united states got involved with WWI for a couple of reasons. First of all, their was the sinking of the Lusitania. German submarines sunk the Lusitania because the U.S. was sending amo and guns to England. America also joined WWI because of the Zimmerman note. Germany sent a note to Mexico saying they would get their land back if Mexico attacked U.S.

Outcome of WWIThere was a lot of damage caused by WWI. A whole generation was wiped away because they all died in the war. After the fighting stopped, there was a peace conference in Paris to rebuild Europe. Britain, France, and the USA dominated the conference. The Germans assumed that a 14-point plan by President Woodrow Wilson of the USA would form the basis of the peace treaty. The Treaty of Versailles lead to future conflicts because it blamed Germany for everything, causing anger and frustration for Germany over time.
